Founder Ivan A. Houston always engineered the extraordinary and impressive. What started for him as creating beloved family holiday desserts evolved into over a decade of delicious artisanal delights through Ivan’s Cooking. After ten years of dedication, he passed the torch to his niece, Taylor Holeman, now at the helm with a slight company renaming of Ivan’s Cooking by Taylor.
Taylor has always believed that food is more than just nourishment — it’s an experience, a memory, and a way to bring people together. Born and raised in Mid-City, Los Angeles, Taylor grew up surrounded by the rich flavors and traditions of her family’s kitchen. Watching her uncle Ivan craft his signature confections, she developed a deep appreciation for the art of candy-making. When Ivan passed the torch, Taylor embraced the opportunity to carry on his legacy — infusing every creation with the same love, care, and creativity that defined his work.
Taylor is a dedicated elementary school teacher, basketball coach, and natural caretaker — always looking to feed others, share a laugh, and offer a great hug. A former Villanova University women’s basketball player, her competitive drive and team spirit now fuel her entrepreneurial journey. She absolutely loves to travel, finding inspiration for new flavors wherever she goes. Through Ivan’s Cooking by Taylor, she hopes to spread joy, one sweet treat at a time.
